2024 SUMMER SCHOOLS - OUR AUTHENTIC CAMBRIDGE EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Founded in 2016, Cambridge International Academy is BAC accredited and offers an authentic Cambridge educational experience to international and home students in the historic colleges of the University. It is a selective Summer School with a rigorous admission process. You will be taught by lecturers and researchers from the University of Cambridge who are experts in their field. We offer up to 40 scholarships. Check your eligibility here.

Our courses span Sciences Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) and Social Sciences and are designed to help you improve your linguistic and academic skills and support you in your university applications. All programmes offer debating classes, tailored University application guidance and modules ranging from Engineering to Economics through International Relations. We balance academically rigorous courses with fun activities and the opportunity of making friends for a lifetime. Find out more about each course and its application process below.

ACTIVITIES
As we believe in working hard, we also believe in playing hard. This is why you will engage in educational, cultural and fun activities alongside studying.
CAMBRIDGE COLLEGES
Each day you are on site you will visit 1-2 of Cambridge’s 31 colleges. They differ in size, location and architectural style, some older and some more modern. This provides an excellent opportunity for those thinking of applying to make more informed choices about which college to apply to.
DAILY ACTIVITIES
As well as punting on the Cam, get to know your fellow summer school students better by playing football or croquet, go on a scavenger hunt, or spend the evening playing some quiz games in teams. Your mentors organise activities to involve everyone, and you are encouraged to contribute ideas for fun things to do too!
UNIVERSITY VISITS
Trips to other universities, such as LSE, Imperial and KCL, enable you to discover the different campus environments the UK has to offer. As well as attending admissions talks by university officers, student ambassadors with first-hand knowledge give guided tours and answer your questions about student life there.
PROBLEM SOLVING
The problem-solving activity is a chance to apply your subject knowledge in an unfamiliar context, get thinking outside of the box, and to show off your critical thinking skills. It’s also an opportunity, as many of our activities are, to work in a team. No pressure, but who will solve the problem first?
LONDON DAY TRIP
On the day trip to London you will be guided to visit some of the capital’s famous landmarks as well as some amazing museums. Explore some of the historically interesting streets with your summer school friends. If it’s hot why not relax with an ice-cream in one of the many parks London has to offer?
OUTDOOR ADVENTURES
“Fun, unforgettable memories, challenging, took me out of my comfort zone…” These are the most common comments from students about our team-building adventure day. Build a raft with your team and race with other teams. Which team will stay dry? Challenge yourself on ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ and see how high your team can get.
OXFORD DAY TRIP
Your trip to Cambridge would not be complete without a visit to the equally amazing City of Oxford. You will visit the University of Oxford and its associate colleges and museums. Explore the City of Oxford with your friends and discover some of its fascinating history together.
FORMAL
Our summer school will end with a celebration of your hard work and the award of your Certificate of Completion. This will be followed by an unforgettable 3-course formal dinner in a beautiful College Dining Hall with our staff and your newfound friends
